When my friend was diagnosed with cancer I was devastated and felt helpless. I felt whatever I might say or do may hurt further.
I found Charis – a leaflet in my health centre. I managed to persuade her to come with me – and see – we turned up – without even an appointment. We were welcomed with open arms.
My friend only accepted the help when she was told that I would receive help too.
Arriving at Charis is like stepping into a different world – full of beauty, calm and kindness – and hope. We feel special and very cared for, it has helped us both greatly.
